The doctor today was more concerned that I was not wearing a gown than giving me the complete checkup that I asked for. She kept trying to cover me up like she had never seen a naked patient before. I had MOS surgery for basil cell on my temple. Everything went as I expected. Dr. Jeremiah Au was very friendly and professional. He answered all my questions. His nurse Jessica on the other hand was very abrupt. I felt like I was annoying her when I said anything so I stopped talking. When she gave me my aftercare instructions she didn't even look at me. I didn't catch everything she said. She asked if I had any questions and since the instructions were also written down I said no. I just wanted to get out of there. More

She said one looked more like a bruise and the other looked pre-cancerous. She grabbed a bottle of some sort of cryo spray and froze the pre-cancerous lesion. Regarding the bruise, I suspected that diagnosis, but the doctor who treats himself has a fool for a patient (I graduated from med school in 1979). I know how easy it is to scare patients into having procedures, buying what I call "magic beans, and other tomfoolery.Her honest and direct approach alone is worth 5 stars.However, I would be remiss if I didn't mention her staff: fast, friendly, and efficient. Make it 6 stars.I admit that I got her name from the internet. I couldn't get an appointment with the dermatologists I wanted (i.e., knew from being in the Webster medical community) until May. I know it's crazy to pick a doctor on the internet, but I know what medical BS looks like. She could have made a frowny face and "agreed" with me that both sites should be biopsied but she didn't. When a doctor leaves money on the table rather than bluff, follow the advice of Polonius in Hamlet: "grapple them to thy [self] with hoops of steel." More

I couldn't get an appointment with the dermatologists I wanted (i.e., knew from being in the Webster medical community) until May. I know it's crazy to pick a doctor on the internet, but I know what medical BS looks like. She could have made a frowny face and "agreed" with me that both sites should be biopsied but she didn't. When a doctor leaves money on the table rather than bluff, follow the advice of Polonius in Hamlet: "grapple them to thy [self] with hoops of steel." More
