I am a self-appointed skincare fanatic so I am very particular about who I let touch my skin! Siti, my aesthetician, is one person that I will trust blindly with my skin -- she has helped lighten my post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation (dark spots from acne) and sun damage with SkinPen and IPL treatments. She knows how sensitive my skin is and is always recommends treatments for me that will be gentle and look natural while still seeing results. I also see Dr. Moore for my acne treatment and Botox -- she has the best bedside manner. They never told me there was nothing else to try, and now I can happily say my acne is under control and has been for several years now. I would trust them with anything, and every staff member is fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about Advanced Dermatology. More

No.Experience: I called Advanced Dermatology based on a recommendation and was scheduled an appointment with Piipar Allen, PA-C, a physician assistant. I wasn't sure if I should have gone through with the appointment, since I usually want to see the dermatologist when I go to a dermatology clinic, but I figured, what the heck. The clinic is located behind a Black-Eyed Pea restaurant and the parking lot is a bit tight. Inside, I was greeted by Debbi, who handled my paperwork.I waited for only a few minutes when Allen's medical assistants (Yes, the assistant has assistants!), Brandon/Brendan and another woman came to fetch me. I was asked some questions by the two assistants for about 10 minutes, then saw Allen for what seemed like 5. She seemed quite impersonal, almost robotic when she diagnosed my acne. Mind you, she barely even looked at me or got close to me for that matter. She was standing at one wall, while I sat on the exam bed at the other wall. Allen almost sounded as if she were working for the pharmaceutical companies herself. Emphasizing the need for me to get a specific brand name topical. Long story short, she did not seem to care. So, no, I will not be going back. I'll find someone who will actually take the time to diagnosis me, or at least pretend to.P.S. - If you're ever in the Washington, D.C., area, I recommend going to Integrated Dermatology of K Street to see Dr. Clinzo P. Mickle, M.D., F.A.A.D. He's awesome, genuinely cares, and gives me fist bumps! I mean, c'mon, could you get a dermatologist any cooler than that? More
